54-year-old Glenn Hollinshead was fatally stabbed at his home on Duke Street in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent. Hollinshead had previously met Sabina Eriksson and offered her a place to stay after she was released following an earlier incident on the M6 motorway. The following day, Eriksson attacked him with a knife. Seriously injured, Hollinshead managed to leave the house and told a neighbour that he had been stabbed before collapsing and dying. Sabina Eriksson was later arrested and charged with murder. She eventually pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and was sentenced to five years in prison.
